AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn University Credit Union (AUCU) today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Henry Armstrong will retire effective January 31, 2026, after 36 years of exceptional leadership. The credit union's Board of Directors has selected Dave Bradford, currently Vice President of Recovery Solutions at All In Credit Union in Daleville, Alabama, as Armstrong's successor, effective July 21, 2025. Armstrong will work closely with Bradford during the overlap to ensure a smooth transition for the credit union.

Transformational Leadership Legacy

Under Armstrong's leadership, Auburn University Credit Union has achieved remarkable milestones and made significant strides in its mission of serving members. Armstrong has guided AUCU through a computer conversion, move off campus, new buildings, new branches, offering checking accounts for the first time, federal to state charter conversion, and tremendous growth in assets, loans, deposits, and membership. His dedication, passion for members, and unwavering commitment to the credit union's values have helped shape its culture and success.

A Proven Successor

Bradford brings over 15 years of credit union experience to his new role. As Vice President at the $3.5 billion All In Credit Union, he led a team of over 30 employees to impressive results. Previously, he held leadership positions at Marine Federal Credit Union, where he developed expertise in member service, leadership, lending, operations, and collections.

Bradford holds an MBA from East Carolina University and a Bachelor's of Science in psychology from Campbell University. He holds a Certified Chief Executive Certification from the Credit Union Executives Society.

Smooth Transition Planned

To ensure continuity, Armstrong will work closely with Bradford during a comprehensive transition period through January 2026, and Armstrong will remain as a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors through this transition.
